RENEW YOUR FAITH DURING RAMADAN, AKARIGBO OF REMO LAND, OBA BABATUNDE ADEWALE AJAYI CHARGES MUSLIM FAITHFULS

The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi has urged Muslims faithfuls all over the world, particularly Remo sons and daughters to seize the opportunity presented by the on-going Ramadan fasting period to renew their faith in God. Oba Ajayi made this charge in a special Ramadan message to Muslim faithfuls at the commencement of the annual Ramadan fast, which commenced on Thursday 17th May, 2018. The statement signed by Prince Henry Ojoye, Director of Communications to the fist class monarch reads, in part' 'the most honoured amongst you are those best in taqwaa, which is fasting prescribed for both you and those before you' Qu'ran 41:11. Oba Adewale Ajayi urged devout Muslims to perform the exercise believing that all their Ibadah will be met. Though the 2018 and third edition of the annual African Drum Festival hosted by Ogun State Government may have passed, but the event will remain indelible on the minds of participants from about 20 African countries who graced the annual cultural event, aimed at promoting integration among Africans. The main objective, according to the organisers, is to begin to position the Drum as a tool for education, socialization, cultural and economic advancement. The 3-day event which was held at the Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State was witnessed by thousands of arts enthusiasts across Africa.
