OLOGIJO OF OGIJO, OBA KAZEEM OLAONIPEKUN GBADAMOSI ROLLS OUT THE DRUMS FOR HIS 1ST CORONATION ANNIVERSARY.

The entire Ogijo Kingdom, a Remo community under the Sagamu South local development council area of Ogun State will soon be in frenzy mood as the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Highness, Oba Kazeem Kashimawo Olaonipekun Gbadamosi, Okuselu 1, Ologijo of Ogijo Land is set to roll out the drums to celebrate his one year coronation anniversary.

To ensure a successful and hitch-free celebration, the young, handsome and dynamic monarch has constituted a first year coronation anniversary committee chaired by Alhaji Olabanji Oreagba.

Below are the activities lined up towards commemorating the memorable event.

PROGRAMME OF EVENT
1. Saturday February 3 - Woro carnival- 7am
● Paying of homage by OLOMBAS
● Football competition (Final - 3pm)
2. Sunday February 4 - Conferment of Chieftaincy titles - 10am
3. Monday February 5 - Free day
4. Tuesday February 6 - Special day for chiefs, otunbas, princes and princesses,  olori and kabiyesi's family.
5. Wednesday February 7 - Interdenominational prayers - Muslims and Christians
6. Thursday February 8 - Market Women/Men; artisans and residents, CDA's CDCs,
Public and private sector workers and police community relations committee (PCRC).
7. Friday February 9 - Conferment of Chiefaincy titles - 10am
8. Saturday February 10 - Grand finale and fund raising for the construction of new Ologijo of Ogijo Palace.


Remo Times join Kabiyesi’s numerous subjects and well-wishers at home and in diaspora to wish him many more prosperous years on the throne f his fore-fathers.

History was recorded on Thursday, 21 st November, 2019 at the Ita Oba Akarigbo, Sagamu as the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi installs Prince Dr Olukoya Adedoyin as the Otunba Oloore of Anoko ruling house of Sagamu. The historic event was witnessed by Princes and Princesses from the Anoko-Ogbonyari ruling house of Akarigbo Remo Land at home and in Diaspora who turned up in their large number to support and identify with the new Otunba Oloore. The event commenced as early as 8am in the morning with special prayers- iwure and rites at the Anoko ruling house palace. The procession later moved to the Otunba Mojo Palace, where all the Akarigbo Ruling Houses in Sagamu hold their regular meetings. Prayers and rites were also performed there before moving to the Akarigbo Palace for the formal installation rites. MANNA MINISTRIES HOST 7TH EDITION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE

The Manna Ministries Int'l, a Sagamu Ogun State based Christian organization recently held the 7th edition of her Independence Youth Empowerment program (IYE) 2019 themed Ideas Rule the World. The annual summit which is organized by its NGO arm, Human Development & Capacity Building Initiative came up on between 29th-1st October, 2019. The first 2 days featured training of youths in diverse areas, which includes vocational training (laundry & dry cleaning, snail farming, cakes and  pastery), Information Technology (Website development and blogging) and social media marketing. There was also a concert for the youth at the event hall of the Akarigbo palace, Ita Oba, Sagamu.
