HISTORY AS AKARIGBO OF REMO LAND, OBA BABATUNDE ADEWALE AJAYI INSTALLS PRINCE DR OLUKOYA ADEDOYIN AS THE OTUNBA OLOORE OF ANOKO RULING HOUSE SAGAMU

History was recorded on Thursday, 21st November, 2019 at the Ita Oba Akarigbo, Sagamu as the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi installs Prince Dr Olukoya Adedoyin as the Otunba Oloore of Anoko ruling house of Sagamu.

The historic event was witnessed by Princes and Princesses from the Anoko-Ogbonyari ruling house of Akarigbo Remo Land at home and in Diaspora who turned up in their large number to support and identify with the new Otunba Oloore.

The event commenced as early as 8am in the morning with special prayers- iwure and rites at the Anoko ruling house palace. The procession later moved to the Otunba Mojo Palace, where all the Akarigbo Ruling Houses in Sagamu hold their regular meetings. Prayers and rites were also performed there before moving to the Akarigbo Palace for the formal installation rites.

The event climaxed with the formal installation of Prince Olukoya Adedoyin, a grand-child of Late Oba Williams Adedoyin, the 16th Akarigbo of Remo Land as Otunba Oloore of Anoko ruling house by Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi.

Oba Ajayi spoke glowingly of the new Otunba Oloore Adedoyin, praising him for being instrumental to the aversion of a fire incident at the palace, few days before his installation.

Prayers were offered for a successful reign for the Oloore by the Ajiroba of Akarigbo, on behalf of the revered monarch, while official cap and staff of office were later presented to Dr Olukoya by Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi.

Guests were hosted to a mini-reception at the resident of the new Otunba Oloore of Anoko ruling house, Prince Dr Olukoya Adedoyin at his private residence.
