OBA ADEWALE AJAYI WILL MOVE SAGAMU, REMO LAND FORWARD, ASIWAJU S.K ONAFOWOKAN

The chairman, Akarigbo coronation planning committee and a frontline business man; former President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who is also one of the most revered and influential Remo leaders, Asiwaju S.K Onafowokan has assured indigenes and residents of Sagamu and the entire Remo land of a prosperous reign under the new Akarigbo of Remo land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi.

Asiwaju Onafowokan gave this assurance in an exclusive chat with Remo Times, when baring his mind on his expectations from the leadership of the new Akarigbo of Remo Land. Asiwaju stressed that, Oba Ajayi has promised to open up the entire Sagamu and Remo for further industrilisation and commercial activities.

‘Sagamu, by geographic location is a gateway city, within a gateway state. Therefore, Sagamu should be the destination of first choice for any industry. As a member of the Manufacturer Association of Nigeria, we will continue to encourage industries to come here’.

Speaking further, he said, ‘It is very easy to attract industries, but we must be willing not just to accommodate them. The younger ones must be ready to serve in any opportunity we have, through employment. They must roll up their sleeves and be ready to work. That is the only way they could assist our new Kabiyesi to deliver his promise to energise, industrialise and commercialize Sagamu further’.

Also corroborating Asiwaju Onafowokan’s position, Dr Yemi Ogunbiyi, former MD Daily Times Nigeria Ltd who also doubles as the Chairman, Publicity Sub-Committee of the Akarigbo coronation committee added that, ‘Kabiyesi has said it on one or two occasions that he intends to move Sagamu and the entire Remo Land to the next stage’.

HISTORY AS AKARIGBO OF REMO LAND, OBA BABATUNDE ADEWALE AJAYI INSTALLS PRINCE DR OLUKOYA ADEDOYIN AS THE OTUNBA OLOORE OF ANOKO RULING HOUSE SAGAMU

History was recorded on Thursday, 21 st November, 2019 at the Ita Oba Akarigbo, Sagamu as the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi installs Prince Dr Olukoya Adedoyin as the Otunba Oloore of Anoko ruling house of Sagamu. The historic event was witnessed by Princes and Princesses from the Anoko-Ogbonyari ruling house of Akarigbo Remo Land at home and in Diaspora who turned up in their large number to support and identify with the new Otunba Oloore. The event commenced as early as 8am in the morning with special prayers- iwure and rites at the Anoko ruling house palace. The procession later moved to the Otunba Mojo Palace, where all the Akarigbo Ruling Houses in Sagamu hold their regular meetings. Prayers and rites were also performed there before moving to the Akarigbo Palace for the formal installation rites. MANNA MINISTRIES HOST 7TH EDITION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE

The Manna Ministries Int'l, a Sagamu Ogun State based Christian organization recently held the 7th edition of her Independence Youth Empowerment program (IYE) 2019 themed Ideas Rule the World. The annual summit which is organized by its NGO arm, Human Development & Capacity Building Initiative came up on between 29th-1st October, 2019. The first 2 days featured training of youths in diverse areas, which includes vocational training (laundry & dry cleaning, snail farming, cakes and  pastery), Information Technology (Website development and blogging) and social media marketing.
