OGHA 2019: HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ASPIRANT PLEDGE TO FACILITATE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SAGAMU RADIO, IF ELECTED IN 2019


An aspirant for Sagamu Constituency 1 seat at the Ogun State House of Assembly on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC Omo’ba 'Peju Akinyemi has pledged to facilitate the establishment of Sagamu Radio online, within few months of his election into office. He added that, he will ‘work with other stakeholders towards upgrading the online radio into a terrestrial radio platform before the expiration of his first term of four years in office'.

Omo’ba Akinyemi made this known when making his presentation as Guest Aspirant on a Remo based whatsapp platform, Remo Parliament, a platform comprising of political gladiators and aspirants across Remo Land, who are contesting for one political office or the other in 2019.

Speaking on the topic, ‘Birthing A New Dawn In Sagamu Constituency 1, Through Legislative Representation’, Omo’ba Akinyemi promised to introduce multiple traditional and unconventional communication and feedback channels that will promote mutual understanding between me and my constituents.

He added that Regular Town Hall Meetings, Publications and Updates will be a regular feature of his representation. This, according to him will be complimented with a strong public policy analysis mechanism, to afford him the opportunity to feel, on a first hand, the pulse of the people, with a view to meeting their yearnings and expectations.

‘As a forward-looking and responsible representative, coupled with my profession as a Journalist, I understand the unique synergy that should exist between a representative and his constituents’, he said.

Concluding, Omo’ba Akinyemi stated that, ‘I will facilitate the establishment of Sagamu Radio, first as an online radio, while I will work with other key stakeholders to upgrade the radio into the regular terrestrial platform before the end of my first four year tenure as a legislator’.

The media entrepreneur-turned politician also seized the opportunity to assure residents of Sagamu Constituency 1, particularly the leadership of the ruling APC that he will work to build on the achievements of the incumbent, Asiwaju Yinka Mafe, if given the opportunity to represent the party at the 2019 general elections.

History was recorded on Thursday, 21 st November, 2019 at the Ita Oba Akarigbo, Sagamu as the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi installs Prince Dr Olukoya Adedoyin as the Otunba Oloore of Anoko ruling house of Sagamu. The historic event was witnessed by Princes and Princesses from the Anoko-Ogbonyari ruling house of Akarigbo Remo Land at home and in Diaspora who turned up in their large number to support and identify with the new Otunba Oloore. The event commenced as early as 8am in the morning with special prayers- iwure and rites at the Anoko ruling house palace. The procession later moved to the Otunba Mojo Palace, where all the Akarigbo Ruling Houses in Sagamu hold their regular meetings. MANNA MINISTRIES HOST 7TH EDITION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE

The Manna Ministries Int'l, a Sagamu Ogun State based Christian organization recently held the 7th edition of her Independence Youth Empowerment program (IYE) 2019 themed Ideas Rule the World. The annual summit which is organized by its NGO arm, Human Development & Capacity Building Initiative came up on between 29th-1st October, 2019. The first 2 days featured training of youths in diverse areas, which includes vocational training (laundry & dry cleaning, snail farming, cakes and  pastery), Information Technology (Website development and blogging) and social media marketing.
