OGUN APC OKAYS AMOSUN'S SUSPENSION, SAYS HE SHOULD BE EXPELLED FROM THE PARTY

Reactions have started to trail the suspension of Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun by the party’s caretaker committee in Ogun State.

Spokesperson for the Ogun APC, Hon Oladunjoye described Amosun’s suspension as a welcome development, which is long overdue. The state Publicity Secretary of the party caretaker committee, Tunde Oladunjoye, noted this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta on Friday.

'The APC in Ogun State receives wholeheartedly the decision of the NWC to suspend Governor Amosun Amosun. We see the NWC decision as long overdue, Governor Amosun's beahviour represents huge and unbelievable demonstration of ingratitude to a party that has helped his political fortunes'.

Oladunjoye added that,'We are also calling on the NEC of the party to go ahead and expel him from the party to teach him a lesson and to serve as a deterrence to other people who may want to toe his path'.

The governor and his aides were yet to formally react to his suspension and impending expulsion from the party as at the time of filing this report.
