AWUJALE AT 85: OGUN STATE GOVERNOR-ELECT, PRINCE DAPO ABIODUN EULOGISES OBA SIKIRU ADETONA

Ogun State Governor-Elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun has felicitated with Alaiyeluwa Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona the Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebu Land on the occasion of the monarch’s 85th birthday anniversary.

In a statement issued on Friday in Abeokuta and signed by Abiodun’s spokesperson, Remmy Hassan, Prince Dapo Abiodun joined all Ijebu sons and daughters, home and abroad, to celebrate a principled royal father, whose exploits in leadership is worthy of commendation and emulation.  

In the statement, Abiodun noted that, ‘Kabiyesi Awujale has over the decades carved a niche for himself as an enigma among very many other traditional rulers. A royal majesty of high integrity who says it as it is, regardless of whose ox is gored.

‘You have always played unique fatherly roles, in mentoring all Ijebu sons and others, and outing the Ijebu landscape in the forefront of commercial, economic, entertainment and cultural industries, for which we are all proud of you’, the statement added.

Abiodun concluded by wishing Oba Adetona many more years of service to humanity in good health and in prosperity.

HISTORY AS AKARIGBO OF REMO LAND, OBA BABATUNDE ADEWALE AJAYI INSTALLS PRINCE DR OLUKOYA ADEDOYIN AS THE OTUNBA OLOORE OF ANOKO RULING HOUSE SAGAMU

History was recorded on Thursday, 21 st November, 2019 at the Ita Oba Akarigbo, Sagamu as the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi installs Prince Dr Olukoya Adedoyin as the Otunba Oloore of Anoko ruling house of Sagamu. The historic event was witnessed by Princes and Princesses from the Anoko-Ogbonyari ruling house of Akarigbo Remo Land at home and in Diaspora who turned up in their large number to support and identify with the new Otunba Oloore. The event commenced as early as 8am in the morning with special prayers- iwure and rites at the Anoko ruling house palace. The procession later moved to the Otunba Mojo Palace, where all the Akarigbo Ruling Houses in Sagamu hold their regular meetings. Prayers and rites were also performed there before moving to the Akarigbo Palace for the formal installation rites. MANNA MINISTRIES HOST 7TH EDITION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE

The Manna Ministries Int'l, a Sagamu Ogun State based Christian organization recently held the 7th edition of her Independence Youth Empowerment program (IYE) 2019 themed Ideas Rule the World. The annual summit which is organized by its NGO arm, Human Development & Capacity Building Initiative came up on between 29th-1st October, 2019. The first 2 days featured training of youths in diverse areas, which includes vocational training (laundry & dry cleaning, snail farming, cakes and  pastery), Information Technology (Website development and blogging) and social media marketing.
