GOFAMINT CHURCH HOLDS INDEPENDENCE DAY RALLY IN SAGAMU

Gospel Faith Mission International otherwise known as GOFAMINT, Unity District Sagamu has held an independence day prayer rally across major streets of Sagamu in Ogun State. The church held the rally on Tuesday, 1st October, 2019.0, in commemoration of the nation's 59th independence anniversary celebration.

Speaking with Remo Times, Pastor Taiwo Okeseyin, District Pastor of the Unity District noted that the rally was organised to celebrate Nigeria and to pray for her leaders.

'We are here to pray for Nigeria and all our leaders across all levels of government, from the federal to the local government. By God's grace, we have prayed for Nigeria and her leaders and we shall continue to pray. Nigeria shall be great, Nigeria shall be better, Nigeria shall move forward. We believe that God will use our leaders to change this nation for better', he said.

On his special independence messages, the cleric advised Nigerian leaders to 'move closer to God, noting that it is only a country that is close to God that can enjoy the peace of God. Our leaders should serve God so that the peace of God can reign in Nigeria.

The clergy also advised Nigerian youths to have hope that Nigeria will be better and that they should not lose hope in the future of the country. He also implored Nigerians to embrace the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ, noting that Jesus will be coming soon.

Hundreds of the Church members defied the heavy morning downpours as they danced around major roads in Sagamu, while a long motorcade followed behind.
