The entire Ogijo Kingdom, a Remo community under the Sagamu South local development council area of Ogun State will soon be in frenzy mood as the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Highness, Oba Kazeem Kashimawo Olaonipekun Gbadamosi, Okuselu 1, Ologijo of Ogijo Land is set to roll out the drums to celebrate his one year coronation anniversary. History was recorded on Thursday, 21 st November, 2019 at the Ita Oba Akarigbo, Sagamu as the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi installs Prince Dr Olukoya Adedoyin as the Otunba Oloore of Anoko ruling house of Sagamu. The historic event was witnessed by Princes and Princesses from the Anoko-Ogbonyari ruling house of Akarigbo Remo Land at home and in Diaspora who turned up in their large number to support and identify with the new Otunba Oloore. The event commenced as early as 8am in the morning with special prayers- iwure and rites at the Anoko ruling house palace. The procession later moved to the Otunba Mojo Palace, where all the Akarigbo Ruling Houses in Sagamu hold their regular meetings. Prayers and rites were also performed there before moving to the Akarigbo Palace for the formal installation rites. The last Akarigbo to visit Ikorodu did so in 1939. It was a nostalgic moment for many sons and daughters of Ikorodu and Sagamu who witnessed the epoch-making royal visit, described by many as a re-enactment of history, considering the fact that the last Akarogbo of Remo Land, who paid such visit to Ikorodu was Oba Williams Adedoyin who visited the then Oloja of Ikorodu I939.
