REMO YOUTH CONGRESS HOLD SOLIDARITY RALLY FOR OSHINBAJO, WARNS CABAL TO DESIST FROM MALTREATING AND HUMILIATING OSHINBAJO
Following
the alleged frosty relationship between President Buhari and his Vice,
Professor Yemi Oshinbajo, coupled with allegation that the vice president
mismanaged some funds belonging to certain agencies under his watch, a group of
young Remo sons and daughters, under the aegis of Remo Youth Congress has held
a solidarity rally, in support of the vice president, Prof Yemi Oshinbajo, who
incidentally is a Remo son.
The
group, in their hundreds defied the independence day rain, as they march round
some Remo towns namely Sagamu, Ikenne, Ilishan and among other adjoining
communities to express their displeasure over the perceived ill treatment being
meted out to the vice president by the Aso Rock cabal in the presidency.
The group
also visited some Remo leaders to help convey their grievances to the
appropriate quarters. They vowed not to fold
their arms while their son will be unfairly and unjustly treated by a group of
political hawks.
In a
chat with Remo Times, Adekunle Mike, President of the group noted that, 'we are
here in solidarity with our leader and father, Prof Yemi Oshinbajo. He is a
Remo son. Our message to the cabals behind the unsubstantiated allegations
against the vice president is for them to desist henceforth. The office of the vice president is not one
that can be rubbished by anyone in the name of politics', he said.
Speaking
in the same vein, Barr. Adetokunbo Martins Soda, the group's public relations
officer, added that, 'Remo youths are proud of the vice president who is a
great role model to all of us. He is making Remo proud and we are proud of
him'.
The
group however lauded the vice president for declaring his readiness to waive
his constitutional immunity in order to clear his name at the law court,
describing the move as commendable
