TAKE OWNERSHIP OF DAPO ABIODUN'S GOVERNMENT, OTUNBA GBENGA DANIEL, SDA PRESIDENT, PROF. TUNDE OGUNSANWO CHARGE SAGAMU AND REMO PEOPLE
A call
has gone to sons and daughters of Sagamu and indeed, entire Remo Land at home
and in the diasporas to take ownership of the incumbent governor of Ogun State,
His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun who
is a Remo son and Prince of Iperu Remo in Ogun State,.
Making
this call was a former governor of the state between 2003 to 2011, while
delivering his speech at the 35th Sagamu Day celebration grand rally event held
at the Akarigbo Palace, Ofin Sagamu.
Daniel
stresses that, having worked hard a s a people and made so much sacrifice for
the emergence of one of their sons as the 5th Executive Governor of the
State, Remo people has a duty to take
full advantage of the incumbent administration in the state, to ensure the full
delivery of democracy dividends to the area.
'This
government is your government and you must take ownership of the government by
ensuring that he succeeds and delivers the dividends of democracy to the nooks
and cranny of Remo Land as a whole. Though, the government is still young, it
has started showing signs that it will not disappoint us. Look at all the roads
that some people could not do in the past eight years, he has started working
on all of them', he said.
Otunba
Daniel further praised Dapo Abiodun for rekindling the hopes of all Remo people
and indeed residents of Ogun State I. general in the state government through
his newly introduced government policies and programmes.
'This
is 2019, it is different from 2003 and 2011 2003 when I was the sitting
governor of Ogun State, I have no doubt in my heart that, our governor, Prince
Dapo Abiodun will perfrom excellently well much more than when I was in office',
he added.
Earlier
in his speech, Prof Tunde Ogunsanwo, President, Sagamu Development Association
made similar call, noting that God has answered his prayers at the 2018 Sagamu
Day celebration, where himself and other
Sagamu people prayed that a Remo son will be gracing the 2019 Sagamu Day
celebration as the Special Guest of Honour.
