Rather than commemorate his birthday, today 5th December, 2019 with merry making, Oba Ajayi decided to make history by dedicating the day to the upliftment of his people. The revered monarch marked his birthday with the formal commissioning of the Multi-Door Court House in Sagamu, facilitated by Remo Growth and Development Foundation (REMO GDF), his 'pet project' and developmental platform for Remo Land.
It would be recalled that, Oba Babatunde Ajayi inaugurated the body barely six months after ascending the throne in 2018. The body has been instrumental to the establishment of many government institutions in Remo Land.
Early in the year, Remo GDF facilitated the establishment and commissioning of the Sagamu Passport Office among other initiatives.
The formal commissioning of the court house was performed by the executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun who was represented at the commissioning by his deputy, Engr Noimot Oyedele-Salako.
Prominent Remo sons and daughters at the commissioning however ensured that Oba Ajayi's birthday did not go without the monarch being celebrated. Aare Kola Oyefeso, Co-Chairman, Remo GDF led other Remo citizens as they sang and prayed for the selfless monarch.
Other dignitaries at the event include Hon Oriyomi Onanauga, Member representing Remo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives. Asiwaju S.K Onafowokan, Olotu-Omo'ba Michael Oyedele among other dignitaries.
