20TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY: LOWA IBU OF BATORO, SAGAMU OBA SULAIMAN OLUGBENGA DOSUMU ROLLS OUT THE DRUMS


The Lowa Ibu of Batoro Sagamu, Ogun State, His Royal Highness, Oba Sulaiman Olugbenga Dosunmu, Dosumu 2 recently rolled out the drums to mark his historic 20th coronation anniversary on the throne of his fore-fathers, as the Lowa Ibu of Batoro community, Sagamu

The revered monarch of Batoro community, one of Remo's original 33 traditional towns left no stone unturned to make the historic event memorable.

The 2-day coronation anniversary event kicked off with the installation of honourary chiefs by the revered monarch, on Friday 3rd January, 2020. The event will climaxed on Saturday, 4th January, 2020 with Special Coronation Thanksgiving Service at St John's Anglican Church, Ijoku Sagamu after which guests within and outside Sagamu were given a royal reception at the Batoro Community Grammar School open field.

Guests that graced the event include, the Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa 2 who led a powerful delegation of Sagamu and Remo monarchs to the Church thanksgiving service.

Oba Sulaiman Olugbenga Dosumu, in his special message thanked God for the opportunity to ascend the throne and appreciated God for keeping him alive to witness 20 years on the throne.

The Monarch further solicited the support of all and sundry, particularly sons and daughters of Batoro at home and in diaspora, towards the realization of his development agenda for Batoro community.

HISTORY AS AKARIGBO OF REMO LAND, OBA BABATUNDE ADEWALE AJAYI INSTALLS PRINCE DR OLUKOYA ADEDOYIN AS THE OTUNBA OLOORE OF ANOKO RULING HOUSE SAGAMU

History was recorded on Thursday, 21 st November, 2019 at the Ita Oba Akarigbo, Sagamu as the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi installs Prince Dr Olukoya Adedoyin as the Otunba Oloore of Anoko ruling house of Sagamu. The historic event was witnessed by Princes and Princesses from the Anoko-Ogbonyari ruling house of Akarigbo Remo Land at home and in Diaspora who turned up in their large number to support and identify with the new Otunba Oloore. The event commenced as early as 8am in the morning with special prayers- iwure and rites at the Anoko ruling house palace. The procession later moved to the Otunba Mojo Palace, where all the Akarigbo Ruling Houses in Sagamu hold their regular meetings. Prayers and rites were also performed there before moving to the Akarigbo Palace for the formal installation rites. MANNA MINISTRIES HOST 7TH EDITION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE

The Manna Ministries Int'l, a Sagamu Ogun State based Christian organization recently held the 7th edition of her Independence Youth Empowerment program (IYE) 2019 themed Ideas Rule the World. The annual summit which is organized by its NGO arm, Human Development & Capacity Building Initiative came up on between 29th-1st October, 2019. The first 2 days featured training of youths in diverse areas, which includes vocational training (laundry & dry cleaning, snail farming, cakes and  pastery), Information Technology (Website development and blogging) and social media marketing. There was also a concert for the youth at the event hall of the Akarigbo palace, Ita Oba, Sagamu.
