UNILAG PROFESSOR, TAIWO ASEKUN HONOURS AS MATRON, RDHS NOBLE 86/92 SET OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION


Professor Taiwo Asekun, a University of Lagos lecturer and Professor of Chemistry was recently honoured as the Matron and Special Adviser to the 1986-1992 set of the Remo Divisional High School Old Students Association.

Professor Asekun, a former National Vice President of the National executive of the school old students association was formally decorated and presented to set members and the general public at the set's 2019 end of the year re-union party event held at the National Secretariat of the association at Sagamu Ogun State.

Speaking at the event where she also doubles as the Guest Speaker, Prof Asekun commended the Noble 86/92 Set of Remo Divisional High School for the honour done to her. She also applauded the set for being a set to reckon with among other old students set of the school, while pledging her readiness to work with the Set, towards achieving their set goals and objectives.

In her lecture, titled; Networking and Interpersonal Relationship, Tools for a Successful Life and Career: A Case Study of 86/92 Set Old Students Association,  Prof Asekun charged the set members to take advantage of the numerous benefits provided by the old students association to better their lives, their alma mater and the society at large.

She further enumerated some of the benefits derivable from an old students association, while imploring the Noble set members to leverage on these benefits for the progress of their members.

Earlier, in her opening speech, President of the Noble 86 / 92 Set, Noble Titilayo Ikwuazom eulogized Prof Asekun, describing her as a mother-figure to her set, a quality that endeared her to the set and made her the most preferred for the position of the Matron and Special Adviser to the Set.
