REMO GDF ROLLS OUT 2020 DEVELOPMENT PLANS, ECONOMIC SUMMIT, TRADE EXPO TOP AGENDA

The Remo Growth and Development Foundation, otherwise known as the Remo GDF has rolled out its 2020 development agenda for the entire Remo Division of Ogun State. The group gave a short preview into the 2020 programmes at a special dinner, tagged An Evening with The Akarigbo held at the prestigious Lagos Country Club, Ikeja-Lagos. In his royal address at the event, Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi has once again reiterated his unwavering commitment to the development of the entire Remo Division of Ogun State, with a view to making Remo the destination of choice in the State. Giving a preview into its 2020 developmental programmes, Otunba Seni Adetu, Director Commerce and Industry of Remo GDF Directorate intimated the gathering on some of what to expect from the foundation in 2020. One of these is the establishment of Remo Growth and Development Foundation otherwise known as Remo GDF, which is meant to be the driving force for the development of Remo Land. NO WHITE ELEPHANT PROJECT WILL BE IN OUR 2020 BUDGET - GOV DAPO ABIODUN ASSURES

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said “no vanity project” would feature in the 2020 budget being compiled for presentation to the State Assembly. the governor gave the assurance in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin. He assured that cognizance had been taken to eliminate “white elephant projects” or any such project that would boost the public perception of any political actor in the State. "We must realise that our responsibilities to the people of our State go beyond channeling efforts towards the routine pattern of using public resources for those in power. We must devise a system of strategic allocation of resources which ensure that politics is secondary. Projects and programmes of government in the first full budget that we are preparing would have impact on the people who are the essence of government," Governor Abiodun said. REMO INDIGENES IN PUBLIC SERVICE HOSTS GOV. DAPO ABIODUN TO A LAVISH RECEPTION

A group of Remo sons and daughters in Public Service have thrown a lavish reception for the Number One citizen of Ogun State and a Prince of Remo Land, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR the Executive Governor of Ogun State. The special reception hosted under the auspices of Association of Remo Indigenes in Public Service, with the support of Remo Traditional Council was a historic and colourful event, as Remo sons and daughters in public service turned out, in their colourful Ankara 'aso-ebi', to celebrate and identify with one of their owns. To demonstrate their support for the Special Reception, the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi led a powerful delegation of Remo monarchs and traditional rulers to grace the colourful reception. History was recorded on Thursday, 21 st November, 2019 at the Ita Oba Akarigbo, Sagamu as the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi installs Prince Dr Olukoya Adedoyin as the Otunba Oloore of Anoko ruling house of Sagamu. The historic event was witnessed by Princes and Princesses from the Anoko-Ogbonyari ruling house of Akarigbo Remo Land at home and in Diaspora who turned up in their large number to support and identify with the new Otunba Oloore. The event commenced as early as 8am in the morning with special prayers- iwure and rites at the Anoko ruling house palace. The procession later moved to the Otunba Mojo Palace, where all the Akarigbo Ruling Houses in Sagamu hold their regular meetings. Prayers and rites were also performed there before moving to the Akarigbo Palace for the formal installation rites. EKANEM EZEKIEL, OGUNTADE ABDULRAQEEB, ALARAPE OLUWASETOFUNMI SHINE AT BRIGHT APPROACH CLUB OF SAGAMU APTITUDE TEST COMPETITION

Ekanem Ezekiel, a student of Advanced Breed Comprehensive College, Block 13, Oba Erinwole II Road, G.R.A, Sagamu have emerged the overall winner at the Maiden edition of Bright Approach Club of Sagamu Aptitude Test competition. Ezekiel scored 36 point to emerge the overall winner of the competition, carting away the N100, 000.00 Prize Money of the Competition held on Monday, 28 th October, 2019 at Awabat Events Centre Sagamu, Ogun State. Similarly, Masters Oguntade Abdulroqeeb also of Advanced Breed Comprehensive College came second with 34 points, while Alarape Oluwasetofunmi of Focus International College, Sagamu emerged second runners up, having scored 34 points.
