History was made on Thursday October 17, 2019, the foremost and leading microfinance bank in Remo Land, Shagamu Micro Finance Bank (SMFB) held its 26 th Annual General Meeting, at the bank premises in Shagamu; where customers and shareholders passed a vote of confidence on the bank management and board for a job well done. A call has gone to sons and daughters of Sagamu and indeed, entire Remo Land at home and in the diasporas to take ownership of the incumbent governor of Ogun State, His Excellency,   Prince Dapo Abiodun who is a Remo son and Prince of Iperu Remo in Ogun State,. Making this call was a former governor of the state between 2003 to 2011, while delivering his speech at the 35th Sagamu Day celebration grand rally event held at the Akarigbo Palace, Ofin Sagamu. Daniel stresses that, having worked hard a s a people and made so much sacrifice for the emergence of one of their sons as the 5th Executive Governor of the State,   Remo people has a duty to take full advantage of the incumbent administration in the state, to ensure the full delivery of democracy dividends to the area. 'This government is your government and you must take ownership of the government by ensuring that he succeeds and delivers the dividends of democracy to the nooks and cranny of Remo Land as a whole.

MANNA MINISTRIES HOST 7TH EDITION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE

The Manna Ministries Int'l, a Sagamu Ogun State based Christian organization recently held the 7th edition of her Independence Youth Empowerment program (IYE) 2019 themed Ideas Rule the World. The annual summit which is organized by its NGO arm, Human Development & Capacity Building Initiative came up on between 29th-1st October, 2019. The first 2 days featured training of youths in diverse areas, which includes vocational training (laundry & dry cleaning, snail farming, cakes and  pastery), Information Technology (Website development and blogging) and social media marketing. Gospel Faith Mission International otherwise known as GOFAMINT, Unity District Sagamu has held an independence day prayer rally across major streets of Sagamu in Ogun State. The church held the rally on Tuesday, 1st October, 2019.0, in commemoration of the nation's 59th independence anniversary celebration. Speaking with Remo Times, Pastor Taiwo Okeseyin, District Pastor of the Unity District noted that the rally was organised to celebrate Nigeria and to pray for her leaders. REMO YOUTH CONGRESS HOLD SOLIDARITY RALLY FOR OSHINBAJO, WARNS CABAL TO DESIST FROM MALTREATING AND HUMILIATING OSHINBAJO

Following the alleged frosty relationship between President Buhari and his Vice, Professor Yemi Oshinbajo, coupled with allegation that the vice president mismanaged some funds belonging to certain agencies under his watch, a group of young Remo sons and daughters, under the aegis of Remo Youth Congress has held a solidarity rally, in support of the vice president, Prof Yemi Oshinbajo, who incidentally is a Remo son. The group, in their hundreds defied the independence day rain, as they march round some Remo towns namely Sagamu, Ikenne, Ilishan and among other adjoining communities to express their displeasure over the perceived ill treatment being meted out to the vice president by the Aso Rock cabal in the presidency. FAILED ROAD: WE ARE CUT OFF FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD, SAGAMU-OGIJO RESIDENTS CRY OUT TO FG, ARAB CONTRACTORS

This is not the best times for residents and motorists along the deplorable Sagamu-Ikorodu road axis of Ogun State, as the affected motorists and residents have been lamenting untold hardship and neglect they are suffering as a result of the collapse of the Gbara spot of the Sagamu-Ikorodu road for over two weeks. The affected residents and motorists who daily ply the Ogijo, Simawa, Mosimi, Gbara, Sotubo and indeed the entire Sagamu town of Ogun State have therefore sent a save-our-soul message to the federal government,   the ministry of works and the management of Arab Contractors, the company handling the rehabilitation of the road over the total collapse of the Gbara spot of the 34km road. It will be recalled that motorists and commuters has been facing untold hardships plying this road in the past couple of months.   The residents lamented that the commencement of rehabilitation work on the road from the Ikorodu axis which had brought hope to the hundreds of thousands
